Long Term Recovery Committee County Executive Mike Farmer formed a committee to deal with the long term effects of the TVA Ash Spill which occurred on
December 22, 2008. That committee is the Long Term Recovery Committee. A date for the next meeting of the committee has
not been set.

Mission Statement
Gather input from stakeholders, maintain open lines of communication
with citizens; local, state, and federal officials and TVA, and develop a course of action that addresses the full recovery
of Roane County's environment, economy, and perception of the quality of life of the county as it recovers from the events
of December 22, 2008 at the Kingston Fossil Plant on the Emory River.

to the December 22nd ash spill at the Kingston Fossil Fuel Plant.
